There are numerous golf courses in the White Mountains, each offering a unique flavor and challenge. Though not a year-round activity up this way, the golf courses of Pinetop-Lakeside, Showlow, Springerville, St Johns and others offer a welcome and affordable relief from the desert heat.
There are public and private courses, each with their own dress, fees and tee-time scheduling requirements. Be sure to call ahead of time to make arrangements.
